The President of the Indonesian Association of Social Worker Dr. Puji Pujiono, MSW. Visits the Kenya National Association of Social Workers

"Nairobi, 16th April 2024, Director of Social Services ,Nairobi City County Government (Kenya)  together with Mr Evans Nyakundi, Secretary General of the Kenya National Association of Social Workers and other officials, received a courtesy call from Dr Puji Pujiono, MSW. President of the Indonesian Association of Social Workers. Mr Charles Mbugua, a distinguished and former President of the International Federation of Social Workers- African Region, was also present. In the meeting, the two associations shared the key opportunities such as leveraging the global movement on social service workforce to further social work professional advancement, and among the challenges such as the online abuse, exploitation and trafficking of children. On this occasion, Dr Pujiono congratulated Kenya for stepping forward to host the Global Social Work conference  in 2026  and expressed his full support for this important undertaking and wished to explore the possibility of Indonesia hosting the event in 2028. To this end, both agreed to jointly organise online Asia-Africa dialogues, including a topic on social work credentialing systems".
